UPDATE (1205 hours 7/7/22)
It is clear that Pow has now "resigned" again via Twitter! At 1013 hours, following on from the original deleted resignation tweet at 0930 hours. So 43 minutes later, she resigned again.
But ITV's Ben McGrail and the County Gazette's Phil Hill are reporting on her later "resignation", but seem unaware of the earlier resignation and unresignation. We've told them about it. Let's see if they update their reports.
The Leveller has taken up our tip, which we supplied to them and other news outlets. They have not credited our work. We have already taken up this issue with them in writing.
"Nevertheless the facts remain that in the absence of evidence to the contrary, it looks as if Ms Pow waited until after Johnson had resigned to publish her letter of resignation. The timing is at best embarrassing. At worst it shows a disturbing cynicism. If Ms Pow or her office wish to furnish details of the timing of her resignation letter, we will be delighted to update this article."
UPDATE (7/7/22)
At 1029 hours, Ben McGrail of ITV West Country posted the resignation letter that Rebecca Pow referred to in her deleted tweet, but which never surfaced on Twitter.
We've asked Ms Pow to respond to our article.

After the announcement at 0911 hours on 7/7/22 from Chris Mason at the BBC, that Boris Johnson will resign as Leader of the Conservative Party today:
"Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative leader today
Chris Mason
Political editor
Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative leader today - he will continue as Prime Minister until the autumn.
A Conservative leadership race will take place this summer and a new Prime Minister will be in place in time for the Tory party conference in October."
At 0930 hours, the Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow, also a Government Minister tweeted the following:

Rebecca Pow's Deleted Tweet |
Pow's tweet reads:
"This week I've been at home with Covid-19. Earlier this morning I tendered my resignation as Environment Minister. Values, integrity and the morals by which I live are at stake, and the needs of the country must always come first. My letter follows".
We tweeted in response that we would be checking the timing, because it appeared to have been done after Boris Johnson's resignation had been communicated by Chris Mason. This would then look like that she only "resigned" after it had been announced that Johnson would go. And had also backed him to keep her job.
Then we saw that Pow had then deleted the tweet.
WHY TWEET AND THEN DELETE?
Pow's Twitter feed has fallen silent again.
Has she resigned?
Has she resigned and then unresigned?
Who knows?
Values, integrity, morals?
We know what Pow's constituents think of her - that she does not work for them and that she is only interested in having photos taken.
"POW = Photo Opportunity Woman", one resident told us.
Another commenting on Facebook said:
"Too little too late ... You've proved you don't care, by waiting until he decided to go before you tweeted this morning ... We all saw it despite its very speedy removal! Sadly you're still our utterly useless MP!"
As well as "resigning" in the tweet, Pow also claimed to have Covid. If
she had Covid, how could she respond to an Written Answer at Parliament?
Perhaps she did it remotely.
We ask because we have evidence from Hansard, the official record of Parliament, that yesterday (the day before she claimed to have Covid in the tweet), she had responded to a Written Answer. She may have had somebody else do that for her.
Did she also have her Tweet sent for her?
We think the people of Taunton Deane need to know. So we've asked Rebecca Pow.
